Overview: Our mission is to discover the immunologic underpinnings of human cardiometabolic health and disease. We do this in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on scientific and personal growth.
More detail: Our focus is on the immunology of cardiometabolic disease, which we investigate using several complimentary methods. We utilize ex vivo approaches and functional assays of carefully selected human samples, in vivo model systems, and in silico approaches in complement to identify and intervene on immune cell-level regulators of inflammation. Our lab members include students, postdocs, and team science-track faculty trained in methods ranging from basic to computational. Collectively, all of our work dovetails toward understanding the human immunology of cardiometabolic health and disease.
